Thanks for opening this to ebikes!
Will never be able to access the upper mountain on regular bike but nice to have this lower trail available for the "busted knees club". Could you please change the sign message at intro to Into the Mystic to "no ebikes beyond Chipmunk Rebellion"? Just for clarity Thanks.

2 e-Bikers today. Talked to one of them and he replied: “I pay for this trails” and “people suck this days”. Well not everyone suck, but you definitely do

Probably the best blue trail in all the Whistler valley trails.... add it into your Westside loop!

This is an extremely well built trail, but not really a destination by itself. We were looking for a intermediate ride on our way out of town and climbed the flank up to here to ride all of chipmunk. It was fun but probably not worth the climbing required to just ride this. I would recommend adding this to a longer route if you’re in the area though, as it’s a fun flowy trail with a natural feel (not like a machine built blue flow trail)

Dark Crystal has very bad signage, so people may be genuinely ignorant. I hate seeing dogs or e-bikers on Sproatt, because regardless of if you're right or not, the rules say no, and you've definitely seen signs about it. And if you're violating the rules, you could have alpine access taken away for all of us. So it's a selfish a*shole thing to do.

That sucks to hear about e-bikes on Dark Crystal, one of my fav’s when here in Whistler. Lame. And especially on Mystic/Squirrels and Comfortably Numb. If you’re injured or over 65 then maybe. The effort it takes to get to most of these trails keeps the volume of traffic down and preserves the trails without constant erosion and required maintenance. The world just keeps getting fatter and lazier I suppose. Don't be scared to work a little bit in life for your goals…… and if you ride 7 days a week 365 and thats your excuse then take a damn day off once in a while so you dont need assistance getting to the top. Just my 2 cents.

The new "Dessert Platter" work is exceptional for its quality. I noticed that the work was not only top notch but the finishing touches. Example - rock cribbing in uphill corners and benchcut; then topped with dirt; then narrowed and finally renaturalized with soil and moss. Incredible attention to detail

Amazing new addition to the intermediate trail network. Tides even better than part 2. Thanks Dan and co for all the work, so nice to have more trails to take intermediate riders on in town.

Currently only upper Into the Mystic is closed. Still open as far as LESS. Should split this trail into Upper and Lower Into The Mystic in TrailForks so status can be accurately represented. Pretty common at beginning and end of season for this trail to be half open.

Just because you can ride doesn’t mean you can ride down, that thought process has no rational to it.
I get that it would bring more traffic that’s a fare statement!
We were up Dark Crystal the other day and there was more Ebikes then not.
It’s only matter of time really so maybe Worca can figure out something to make it work.

I feel as though it comes down to the volume of riders up there. It's a deilicate ecosystem. Fewer is better. This is not a lift access trail for a reason.
Plus consider the rider's ability. You are a long way from help. And the descent... Squirrel... is more a technical black than a blue. I've ridden easier black diamonds...
Those that get there under their own steam are at least fit enough, and one would hope skilled enough to make it down.
I support no Ebikes for that reason.

Further, don't rob yourself of the victory, man! I was spent by the time I got back to the car the last time I rode Squirrel. I ran out of water half way down... note to self, bring more water...
I don't know how you feel when you get to the top on an assist bike, but it can only feel like a shadow of the real thing.

Trail LESS
Fast intermediate trail with lots of flow and almost no climbs. It's much smoother than LOTS and less gruelling to get to. But you don't quite get up to above the tree line....So close that it might be worth pedalling just a bit further if you still have any gas in the tank

I don’t get why you can’t Ebike on this trail? Ebikers were the devil a few years back but let’s face it they are only becoming more popular, they don’t cause anymore damage to a trail they a bigger person riding a trail bike.
Disclosure I’m not a Ebiker but my GF is and she would love to ride this trail with me but won’t until it’s allowed.

i don't necessarily think its about trail damage. for me it's about the fact that reaching the glorious alpine should be something that you do of your own merit and power. if you want to go into the alpine with a machine, there's the Bike Park.

Flowy mellow downhill, but also makes for a great climb trail from Creekside to the start of Into the Mystic if you link Piece of Cake -> Danimal -> Industrial Waste -> Flank trail. The climb paces well and puts you at the top of Pura Vida, as opposed to having to go all the way up Stonebridge, and then ride back along the Flank. Thanks for the work put into this trail recently!

Well built, and in good condition (just being finished by the trail crew) but too wide and monotonous to be a classic. Gets much more fun and interesting when you reach the alpine, and worth every pedal stroke for the following On the Rocks and LOTS sections.
