Clasica ascension al monte Amboto desde el santuario de Urkiola.

Partiendo del santuario por pista ancha y buena se va subiendo poco a poco primero hasta Pol-Pol donde se sigue continuando por ella hasta llegar a la base/collado de Amboto.

Hasta aqui a sido todo por terreno muy facil pero a partir de aqui ya empieza lo bueno,la montaña de verdad dejando pistas buenas para entrar en terreno alpino 100%.

Hasta la cima es todo un sendero alpino con piedra,raices y con tramos inclinados en los que hechar las manos en un par de ocasiones,con unos metros finales por cresta muy bonitos y con unas vistas expectaculares del parke natural de Urkiola.

Desde la cima de Amboto con sus 1331m de altitud podemos divisar muchisimo territorio montañero viendo gran parte de los montes del parque natural de Gorbea y Urkiola,Aizkorri,montes de Vitoria,Sierra Cantabria.....

Tras coronar Amboto toca un descenso hasta Zabalandi con bien de inclinacion y tecnico,descendiendo por un sendero pedregoso salvando buen desnivel.

En la campa de Zabalandi se coje una pequeña senda que tiene una fuente hasta enlazar con la pista que nos llevara hasta la parte alta de Pol-Pol donde hemos pasado hace un ratillo antes de encarar el sendero de Amboto a la cima.

Se retrocede un poquito por la misma pista y justo en la entrada al bosque se abandona girando a la derecha para subir por la herbosa ladera a la cima de Urkiolagirre con 1009m teniendo una preciosa panoramica de toda la cresta de Amboto.

Desde la misma cima de Urkiolamendi se desciende por terreno herboso y abierto hasta el parking del santuario de Urkiola.

No es que sea una ruta dificil pero si no estas acostumbrado a caminar por terreno alpino y crestas puede que se haga un poco duro el sendero de subida y el de bajada a Zabalandi.

This hike primary route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 6 trails. This route climbs 2,794 ft with a max elevation of 4,264 ft then descends -2,796 ft.
