This route is intended for adaptive riders, but anyone can do it. It stages from Hilltop Park, which has flat, paved, accessible parking with running water facilities. It circumvents Manzanita Loop clockwise instead of counter, avoids the east section of Miners Ridge Loop, which requires too much work to get through, and avoids Lilac Trail, which has significant exposed narrow off-camber sections. The beginning of Manzanita Loop will 100% require assistance, so support is required for this route. Negating Manzanita Loop downgrades the route rating to aMTB2, support recommended. Two rock gardens, one on Miners Ridge Loop and another on Black Widow will most likely require a spot the first time, so bring a support rider regardless. Due to the technical and steep, loose nature of some of the terrain, equipment capability is a critical factor on this route. Suspension, clearance, and rear-wheel-drive highly recommended.
