Challenging 20 mile loop from Angelus Oaks down to Mountain Home and back. Either direction accepted; however the ride up the Santa Ana River Trail is harder than up the old highway so counter-clockwise is recommended for the first ride through. Various trail options are available on the way down to bail or explore. Example: Thomas Hunting Ground and Morton Peak.

1st section good. Gets progressively worse and worse. Multiple washouts near the bottom, overgrowth, and downed trees. Okay if you’re up for an adventure, but needs professional/organized trail work to get it back to riding the way it was.
