Antenne di San Rocco
San Rocco Antennas
Description:
Main 2015 winter-training destination for the Italian National DH squad, this ride follows the course of the 2012 Superenduro Pro race Special Stages 3 and 4.
The route is actually a double loop with two different difficulty levels. The first loop, know as Antenne, is characterized by a short climb with a few demanding ramps, followed by 10 minutes of single-track, easy and fun, which allows you to admire the beautiful views of the Dianese bay. The second loop, known as Cervo, is an excellent trail to warm up with before a full day in the saddle. It rewards the riders with the experience of pedalling straight above the sea and with the thrill of the well-known jump Salto nel Blu [Jump into the Blue].
Climbing in the direction of the hamlet of Chiappa, where you should make a stop to admire the ancient Roman milestone dating back to the 16th century BC, keep to the right towards the radio-masts and pick up, after about 500 m, the dirt track to Colle Dico.
A circular water tank marks the start point of San Rocco trail, a real blast for intermediate and experienced riders: doubles, drops, berms and steep passages in quick succession, an adrenaline rush for sure
