This is a short route that gives a nice taste of what Apex park can offer.
Just remember there are direction restrictions on odd days in this park and this route is not rideable in either direction on odd days. It is ok to ride this route in either direction on even days though.

Trail Magic Mountain
It’s rated single black but it’s certainly pushing double. Really techy. Need to take right lines or you’re very my going OTB. Tons of fun!

Trail Magic Mountain
Def not pushing double lol. Arguably not even single black. The climb up is black fitness but there's no black features in the guts. Just a lot of rocks / baby heads that you can 99% ride over or just ride around.

Rode this going downhill and glad for it because climbing this would have been a no go for me. Seemed like it was pretty much rock garden all the way down. Good for practicing your tech skills, but yeah ... hang on tight and get ready for a workout.

Great little trail - I rode it going downhill and it was a blast.

Trail Magic Mountain
Great condition on enchanted forest and Apex. Lower Apex is chunky and eats derailleur if you’re bold and not careful.

Trail Smelter
I thought this in conjunction with climbing Argos would be a great suspension testing track but I was wrong. This trail is overgrown, narrow, and filled with sharp pointy rocks. It has no flow, felt awkward, and dumps you out on a flat part of Magic Mountain, basically at the end. Not great.

Trail Magic Mountain
Super fun trail that will satisfy the techy climber in you and also provide you with lots of speed and twisty bits on the downhill. Lots of hikers so be courteous.

What's up with only being able to ride both Apex and Enchanted Forest uphill on odd days? It means that you cant do a loop up one and down the other. Alternate days would mean you can do a loop up one and down the other. Doesnt seem very well thought out.

Trail Magic Mountain
Apex Trail is bi-directional between Sluicebox and Lookout Mountain Road on all days. So on odd days you can go up Enchanted and down Apex until Apex meets Sluicebox. That means there is a loop opportunity on upper Apex regardless of day.
Note: I am not justifying the BS that makes it okay for hikers to go anywhere on Apex at any time while riders have to navigate complicated rules or risk fines. Just trying to bring clarity to these poorly defined restrictions.

Trail Magic Mountain
Trail half covered in ice/snow in some parts as of 4/4/19. Not bad if you are a black diamond rider. You will get muddy, ENJOY
