Trail Corvair
Good trail. It's better riding up than down. To ride down, go do black forest or cyn city.

I am an advanced rider and I really like this trail. Good flow, some good terrain, and it's great for access to more challenging trails.

If you are an intermediate rider, this is a wonderful trail to enjoy the views and get around. If you are an advanced rider or concerned about our children developing into world-class DH racers, don’t bother with this.

Have to agree with whatyousaid. PC has an overwhelming amount of blue sidewalk width trails. Our kids will never be able to keep up with the Canadians and Euros on steep tech if we keep building nothing but flow and traverse trails.

Yet another lame benchcut brown sidewalk trail that cuts across all the great terrain for what could've been some great handbuilt directional technical trails. Shame that PC continues to build the same old boring trails and pays no attention to building challenging trails....and another bench cut flow going in below Black Forest because we need more easy trails....the list goes on and on....JUST STOP!

I don’t understand the negative comments about this trail. I thought it was extremely well built and found it super enjoyable. It’s a really beautiful trail with a great mix of tight, fast sections, bunch of little kickers to jump, so great rock gardens… Overall lots of fun and variety. Definitely worth the ride.

Not really a destination trail but serves as a good link up to other trails on the upper mountain. Some rocky sections mid trail that weren’t technical but just made the riding feel like a bit more of a grind. Some nice views where it flattens out and opens up. We only rode this from Apex towards Empire so not sure about the part of the trail from Keystone to Apex.

I usually keep my timber bell on during the climb to alert the shuttle bros before they skid into me. It’s good both ways, but if you bash into someone on your descent, that’s on you, because it’s super popular both ways. Also, it’s nowhere near as sketchy as the also bidirectional Spiro.

I agree with the person who says mountain bikers are whiners. Don’t ride it.

Good way to connect upper PCMR/Shadow Lake area towards DV trails. Works both ways. It is a traversing highway of sorts that’s geared towards ridability rather than challenge. If MTF had a positive and reliable community of volunteer trail builders, I’m sure we’d see more hand built trails. “They” running the machines to build “sidewalks” could be “you” with a Macleod or Pulaski cutting a tight technical trail.

So torn here. Beautiful up and down. However, this is a collision accident waiting to happen. Almost had to bail off my bike on the way up as a DH rider was going too fast to stop around a blind curve. Given the proximity of Armstrong and the crest access, something badly needs to be done here. Designated up days? Alternating days? Another up only trail to connect from Armstrong? Again, can't recommend because it was dangerous beyond what is necessary but it was a beautiful trail for sure. Sad.

Renamed Charlie’s 9K in honor of long-term Mountain Trails Director Charlie Sturgis and his remarkable and lasting legacy contribution of Park City trails. Well done sir!

I also disagree with the negative comments... I would say in a trail as smooth as this which is good for beginners and is well taken care of is good in my book. Thanks to those who created it and keep it up to date as I've written it twice now and the second time I brought my wife and dog along for the fun.

We do need more directional trails with more dh trail options. Go to other mtb towns and you will see how it’s done

This is a fine trail which finally allows connecting upper Deer Valley with upper Park City. I disagree with the negativity of the older comments, at least I had plenty fun biking from Black Forest towards DV

Just what we need, another dirt sidewalk delivering goofballs to Black Forest.

Clear up to 8800 feet then fallen trees mud and eventually some snow pack. Turned around at 8900 feet.

^wasn't gonna say it but it’s true. At least build some lips to jump if you’re gonna go through the process of machine building. We need more steeper hand dug trails. St least it makes for a quick connect to Black Forest, the only good thing.

Another straight line dirt sidewalk. Poorly designed by clueless people.

MTBers are some of the whiniest, most entitled people on the planet. This trail is great, and so is MTF who designed and built it.

Nice location, but was machine built and no finishing work done, so the downhill side of the trail is a mess and the trail will need lots of maintenance.

It's only a sketchy climb if you are riding out of control downhill. Armstrong to Pinecone is a fantastic beautiful and shaded way to climb to the top of the crest. It is also one of my personal favorite downhills, but it is a two-way trail and should be ridden as such. There are plenty of places on it with good sight lines that you can open it up as long as you are careful when it gets tighter lower down. Everyone can safely enjoy this trail both up and down.

For god sakes people only climb this if it’s early season and other routes to the crest aren’t open yet. It’s such a high speed descent that it’s really sketch to climb.

Great new connector up to Wasatch Crest! Don’t know if I’d call it a green however a lot of overhanging Aspen trees, I whacked my shoulder and went over the bars here Lol

Awesome high elevation climb and descent. One of the best in Northern Utah.

Fantastic climb to Wasatch Crest. Rides beautifully in either direction. Mostly climbs in stands of aspen trees, then higher up, pines. Nicely shaded and protects from wind. Comes out right at the top of Puke Hill, which is the brief, painful sun exposed fireroad access traditionally used by Wasatch Crest shuttlers riding north from Guardsmans Pass. From town via Armstrongs/ Pinecone ridge is just over 2900ft climb. Felt like less.
