Miles 5–7 are fun large tech with huge rock-rolls/drops. Miles 7-north-end were buttery smooth and fast. Ultra beginner minus cactus risk. (I only rode last half from campground)

This is a great intermediate trail, with a couple rocky sections that are dark blue in difficulty. I started at Pistol Hill and rode it myself as an out and back. It was a great workout. Technically nothing crazy, but a small handful of the rock features were beyond my climbing skills. That said, for a solid intermediate rider with decent fitness, there shouldn’t be too much hike a bike. If your fitness isn’t quite there, grab a buddy and set up a shuttle.

This will be one of my go-to trails.

Riding from North to South you have a long gradual climb that starts out smooth and bermed to more and more technical large rock features as you continue. Nothing crazy. Some steep climbs up loose rock. I rode to a few miles past the camp ground.
