This route has been designed for the Bigfoot Adventure Challenge (bigfootadventurechallenge.com) but is also awesome for anyone in the Redding area looking for a cool multi surface ride from downtown Redding.

This multi surface route from the core of downtown Redding (Bike Depot or other start) begins with a urban road section taking you to Mary Lake and the Westside Trails. From there it is fun Westside single track followed by a short pavement section (county road and new subdivision) before descending on the gravel Buena Ventura Trail to the Sacramento River Trail. The finish is some of Redding's awesome's river trail with a dedicated bike-ped path from the Diestlehorst Bridge back to your start.

BAC - Gravel - Beginner - DT Westside Loop is a 13 mile popular easy route located near Redding California. This gravel bike primary route can be used both directions and has a easy overall physical rating. This route includes 6 trails. This route climbs 785 ft with a max elevation of 919 ft then descends -791 ft.
