This route has been designed for the Bigfoot Adventure Challenge (bigfootadventurechallenge.com) but is great for anyone looking for a fun multi surface route from the core of Downtown Redding.

The route starts in downtown Redding and quickly takes the rider to the famed Sacramento River Trail and across the Sundial Bridge. From there its a series of City streets to the southwest edge of town and more rural country roads to Mule Town Road. The traverse across Mule Town starts on pavement but soon is on rugged gravel punctuated by a short, but tough climb before ascending to the community of Old Shasta. The finish is rural country roads to fun single track trails and final finish on sleepy City streets.

If you are up for making this route longer/tougher, lots of parallel single track options along Mule Town Road (most notably the Princess Ditch Trail) or when you get to Mule Town and Page Bar, the rider can hang a left for some more gravel, single trick and/or more in the Whiskeytown NRA before returning to his point and finishing the route. Enjoy
