This Route has been designed for the Bigfoot MTB Challenge (bigfootmtbchallenge.com) and has been modified from its original route to accommodate the awesome Winter we are having 2023 and that the lake has risen to where the dam side Dry Creek trailhead is not easily accessible.

The route takes off from the dam and winds through BLM's Chappie Recreation Area (Roads 1, 2 and Trail 16) before heading on an out and back on the technical, beautiful USFS Dry Creek Trail and then finishing on Trail 1 back to the dam. Enjoy rugged moto type trails in Chappie and beautiful lakeside conifer/manzanita forests on the USFS Dry Creek trail.

BAC - MTB - Advanced - Dry Creek/Chappie (Lake Full) is a 18 mile moderately popular expert route located near Redding California. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 1 trails. This route climbs 2,539 ft with a max elevation of 1,647 ft then descends -2,538 ft.
