This route has been designed for the Bigfoot Adventure Challenge ( bigfootadventurechallenge.com ) but is awesome for anyone looking for a longer route that touches on much of the Gateway II trails in Mount Shasta.

The route is largely single track machine built flow type trails at the base of Mt. Shasta. The first half of the route (Muir's Ascension and Bear Springs trails) is intermediate single track that climbs and then descends through a conifer forest before reaching Steam Donkey. Steam Donkey is a techy, fun black diamond trail through heavily wooded forest over a challenging rock garden section before hitting the MX flow/jump line trail. After the MX trail it is back to a Bear Springs fun climb an onto a dirt road that takes the rider back to Muir's Ascension. The rider then reverses on Muir's Ascension (super fun both ways) and finishes with a rad flow-jump line trail called Lemurian Delirium. Super fun
