The route starts in the downtown core of Redding and quickly goes on dedicated bike/ped path to the region's Sacramento River Trail. From there it is up the paved river trail and then onto mostly single track (all fun, some flow, some rugged old school, climbing and descending, great views, historic resources and more) for 15 miles before returning to the river trail.
