If you do not like exposure, I would recommend skipping the short 4.5 mile loop that includes "The Ledges." The short exposed spots can be walked, but that's up to the rider to have the discipline to know their limit.

This trail offers great variety, and gets the rider on the signature "The Ledges" trail. This is a great option for riders who enjoy some XC, but also want some adrenaline It offers a blend of flow, as well as small drops, and jumps ranging from small kickers to full size gap jumps. Everything has an alternate "go around" line for the drops and jumps. "The Ledges" is rated black for some exposure, and difficult technical riding, but a high intermediate rider can ride it with a few spots they may want to walk.

Great trail, lots of variety. An epic ride IF it’s hot and humid. Clockwise is definitely good, though the jump line toward the end is pretty tough-going in this direction!

Trail Rago
This trail was rated black on trailforks due to erosion of the trail west of the Trafalgar road crossing. The trail along euston road is green/blue with optional blue features.

Blue trail.
Definitely a blue trail. Maybe there has been some trail work done, but this trail is on the easier side of blue. Glad I took a chance on it.

Fantastic trail. While much is blue, this is def a black trail. I road in rain and its tough for sure. If you can do Oscar's in Coler, you'll be good here. Exposure isn't life threatening but def limb. South to North is the only way.

If you like to just ride fast and not look at the map much, this ride is for you. Definitely pay attention to your tires as much or it has some very sharp talus. Its not an epic, but it is a lot of fun and the distance of pure flow makes it a classic.

Trail The Ledges
Good trail. I would give it a blue/black rating. If your not comfortable riding on a ledge 18" wide or so you're probably not going to enjoy it. A couple of spicy sections easily walkable.

Fun trail. It’s not world class, but it’s worth a ride if you have the time. Probably not going to a trail you crave riding over and over. Some sections of good flow. Some grinder climbing at the end of the main loop. The Ledges loop is great.

Rode ccw. Agree the elevation is way off because we rode some additional miles plus the ledge trail and still came in at just over 3,000 ft for 30 miles. Guessing the loop is more like 2,000.

This trail is good for a suburban xc ride but not like an epic backcountry trail. I enjoyed it a lot but know what you're getting. It's a great workout. Not technical at all although the ledges trail adds some very good tech.

RODE CCW. This is a fun looo with lots of flow, only 2 or 3 punchy climbs and if you go CCW you get some cook jumps in the beginning. Found a cooler with some heaven in it to boot! Feel like trail forks elevation gain is off by quite a bit, my Garmin and Strava said 2375 ft.

Trail The Ledges
This is one of my favorite trails if not my absolute favorite. Not too many people so you can let loose and enjoy the ride. It is a challenging trail but idk if I would call it an expert trail. It is very fun. Flows really well at times and other times it's pretty technical. I would suggest riding from south to north so start out on the Commonwealth road side and go down to the Grosvenor road end.

Fun trail. Different terrain from what I'm used to back in the mountains of NC. I told a friend it felt, at times, like riding on gravel roads or even scree. Definitely recommend fatter tires, adjusting pressure, bringing extras, etc. for this area. Highly recommend.

Trail Rago
Going counter clockwise from the last road crossing to Summit School this trail is no longer a blue. It has blue level features but the cost of a mistake is easily black. High speed, potential for step downs/hips, and the bench cut has eroded away to the point only the trail bed, 6" or less, separate you from flying off into a ravine. Amazingly fun ride though.

Not bad, not crazy epic, but probably some of the best singletrack for several hundred miles in all directions. Down in OKC for work and shot out to Bentonville for some riding. Riding in OKC sucks a lot more. They've done a lot of work to make these trails, so it's to be commended. It's also a lot to upkeep, so I hope that happens too. Trail surface is mostly loose-rock, but machine work has created pretty nice trail tread all-around. Lots of up and down, but grades are all pretty manageable and not too steep. You are never far from a road and you cross the roads several times. Doesn't really feel like you are all that far "out there", but you are still in the forest and you'll see wildlife, which is fun. I did this in about 90 degrees and lots of humidity, but the trees and manageable climbs keep it somewhat in check. I'm kind of between 3 and 4 stars out of 5, as far as rating it. I may check back in with Bentonville and see there's some better stuff, but again, this is decent and some of the best within hundreds of miles.

Not bad, not crazy epic, but probably some of the best singletrack for several hundred miles in all directions. Down in OKC for work and shot out to Bentonville for some riding.
