I rode this from the Encinal trailhead up to the fire road and back. My 3 year was riding shotgun and this was honestly a great trail, especially for beginners or those taking their kids. It's got a mellow climb and enjoyable descent with beautiful views.

Just realize this is a very popular trail and ride in control and/or bring bells. I rode on a Sunday morning and had at least 3 guys rip around blind corners nearly crashing into us.

3.8 miles of fun flow, maybe 30 total yards of semi tech. Not really worth going above single track unless you want more views or are on a bigger ride. Doable and fun on pretty much anything from gravel to enduro. Bring a bell, trail has lots of fun/blind corners, but be careful recent drainage work has really ruined the exits on a few.

Trail should be green, not blue. Rode it both ways and nothing technical or difficult, climbs or going down. Views are nice but trail not super interesting.

This trail is a nice workout trail with great views. But the downhill sections are more green than blue; nothing too technical. Climbs are blue for sure. Did it both ways, have a slight preference for Encinal-Kanan direction.

descent on way back is super fun. Single track at start and at end. Steeper climbs at top are fire road/double track.
