I lost my googles today 10-07-22 around 11:00 am, I believe on this trail (or Old Buck to connect with Badew Powell) on my way up to take John Deer. Please send me a message if you found them, thanks.

Rode a section of this today for the first time. Climbed GSM and wanted to get to Forever After, so we took Baden Powell. BP to Severed D was pretty fun. More black than blue, in my opinion. From Severed towards Forever it got even steeper and more treacherous. You've been warned!

Trail is saturated. Please do not ride it until it's dried out for a few days. The fresh dirt is soup and the stonework is loose and is rapidly being destroyed. There are better choices if one must ride in this weather.

Any update on when CBC is due to officially open? I read something elsewhere that says all the trail work is done. Excited to give it a spin!

The section from the top of the Lynn Loop stairs to the intersection with Cedar Mills at the debris chute is fine for hiking, but not so great for trail running. Extremely rooty, rocky, and narrow, with lots of potential for ankle busting. Past the debris chute is great for running.

The direction is basically wrong. It is 100% unrideable from forever after to severed upwards, but is a spicy treat downwards.

Rode the new optional line and it is superb work. Hope the old line stays for variety but the new line is short and very sweet. The rock work is a thing of beauty.

A bit stiff, but also the fastest ride to the top of corkscrew or CBC, IMO. Good Sir Martin is more twisty and detours out of the way, and straight up Buck cuts off a loop on Mtn. Highway. GSM is good for the second lap, since you are already over near Academy, etc.

Not too bad until it crosses Powerlines, definitely feels like an efficient way to get up the mountain from Old buck lot compared to traversing over to GSM.

I haven’t ridden CBC in close to 15 years. I was worried based on the comments that it would be unrideable. While not in its once pristine condition, it was completely rideable. Some recent work has clearly been done, but beware that it’sa but more narley than it once was. But I would 100% ride it again tomorrow.

Early snowfall has left the majority of CBC with a building of ice.
Woodwork is especially icy (1-1.5” layer of solid ice)

Higher rock/root sections very slick with ice also.

Loam/mud sections remain rideable.

It’s been reworked a lot in August 2020. Really fun. I never rode it previously but none of the comments from above seemed to apply anymore. Looked well maintained and was a blast to ride on my Enduro. Also the most gorgeous trail on Seymour.

Took a chance on this trail over the weekend. What a disappointment. You can tell the trail used to be amazing. Trail is heavily eroded and you can tell no work has been put in in years. Waste of time if you ask me. Many other better trails on the mountain to explore

Steep gravel climb, if your wondering why people shuttle Seymour its the climb, and after you pass the power lines that's when the party starts.

This trail is on the blacker side of single black; you’ll need to get your head in the game quickly because it starts as it intends to continue. Lovely old chundery trail that doesn’t see a lot of traffic because of its location

Prime example of a classic northshore trail being destroyed by passive decommissioning. The trail isn't being closed outright but since no one is allowed to work on it the features are rotting away one at a time and erosion will soon make this unrideable.

This is being done by metro vancouver and they are doing it this way because they know there will be outcry if they close it outright so instead they just don't let anyone work on it. Same plan as Ned's

This trail is absolutely embarrassing; look at all the work that originally went into it simply to allow it to die because of "risk management". Makes me wonder if the same mentality will go into "prime crash intersections" and they get decommissioned too. So sad to see this once gem turn into what it has...simply due to liability concerns. Neds is just as bad...they went so far as to cut out simple jumps only 2 feet high....

Tax dollars at work indeed.

Been revisiting all the old school janky trails and rode TNT again for the first time in a few years. Nice work by Andrew Teit and his crew of builders especially with the light touch - leaving a lot of the old lines in play yet taking care of the worse of the steep chunder. Tip of the hat

This section gps'ed on Seymour is mostly all rideable. The section from "Old Buck" to the Powerlines was upgraded last winter for an easier climb and is used a lot.

The descent portion from the powerlines to the "BP to Powerline Connector" was upgraded for the BC Bike Race. The trail after this point is not rideable, it gets very steep with steps. Once it hits "Bridle Path" its rideable again.
