Trail 3 Mile Smile
We rode up Cottonwood Pass Road and down 3 Mile Smile. Next time I would probably ride up 3MS and do this as out and back. Been riding this trail since 2003 and for some reason I keep coming back. Oh, I know. It's that good. When you get to the end, ride up Badger Pass and down Techno for ~9 miles of awesome desert singletrack.

Whatever the name of this trail.. it’s got a lot going for it. Fairly manageable to ride up and a flat joy to descend.

Trail Badger Pass
From a beginners perspective, this is a great way to build up climbing endurance. The trail is long but nice and easy. Ride back down if you're not ready for the switchbacks, 3 mile smile, and white rhino.

Trail Badger Pass Climb
Totally doable to clean this on the uphill for intermediate riders. Newer riders may want to push a couple sections but overall it's not bad at all thanks to many switchbacks. Typically you will have the steeper sections around the corners and then it levels out until you get to the next turn.

Trail Badger Pass
Horrible gravel grind. The only way you will ever get me to ride this trail again is on a busy weekend to not cause problems to downhill riders. Just ride up WR and 3MS. That route is faster, way more enjoyable a climb, and only has a few steep sections that most intermediate riders can clean.

Trail 3 Mile Smile
out at cottonwood, there must be three names for every trail. I thought Red Valley was the name of the now forgotten trail to the east near Wilson Tank.

Trail 3 Mile Smile
Snow still on the upper half of the trail and really muddy the upper 1/4 of it. Should dry out in a couple of weeks, but still a great flow fun trail no matter the conditions!

Trail Badger Pass
Awesome uphill for those just starting out to test your legs. The downhill is worth the trip up!

Trail Badger Pass
This is a great trail and gives you two options, either Techno trail or 3 mile smile after a zig zagging descent, but well worth your time and effort!!!

I would not put this as a green trail due to White Rhino in the middle, which is not a beginner hill. It is a great trail though!

Trail Badger Pass
The reward for BP is 3 Mile Smile! This trail is constant uphill with a slightly hairy downhill switchback at the end. If you've had enough, turn right for half of 3 mile smile or left for more uphill to top of 3MS.

Trail 3 Mile Smile
Recent thunderstorms have lightly washed the trail to pure flowy goodness. Not dusty at all and an all around blast of a ride. A few baby heads to contend with here and there...but that just addsnto the awesomeness of the ride.
