Opis

Pot nas vodi do kamnoloma v Josipdolu, kamor prispete po 5,7 km. Kamnolom, kjer so kopali tonalit, je od leta 1880 predstavljal srce Josipdola. Pred II. svetovno vojno je bilo v petih kamnolomih zaposlenih več kot 300 ljudi. Večinoma so izdelovali kocke za tlakovanje cest. Danes deluje samo eden od teh kamnolomov.
Po 11,4 km poti dosežete prvo naravno znamenitost – jezero Jelenovka.

V nadaljevanju vas pot vodi mimo muzeja gozdarstva na prostem Lepšnik. V leseni brunarici so razstavljeni različni pripomočki, ki so jih naši predniki uporabljali pri delu v gozdu. Razstava prikazuje, kako pomembna je bila obdelava lesa za ljudi, ki so živeli na Pohorju.

Postojanko, Ribniško kočo, dosežete po 18 km. Na koči si lahko poleg dobre hrane, napolnite tudi baterijo e-kolesa. Ribniška koča je odlična izhodiščna točka za pohod do Jezerskega vrha in Ribniškega jezera, ki spadata med najlepše naravne znamenitosti Pohorja.

Sprehodite se lahko tudi do najvišjega vrha (Črni vrh - 1543 m) in do najvišjega izvira (Mrzli studenec - 1490 m) Pohorja. Vrh Pohorja je še posebej znan po svojih edinstvenih sončnih zahodih in lokacijah za nabiranje borovnic.

Nekatere znamenite točke se nahajajo v zaščitenem območju NATURA 2000 in so dostopne samo z hojo po planinskih poteh. V tem primeru bo uporaba funkcije e-kolesa “pomoč pri hoji”, olajšala dostop do znamenitosti, ki jih morate obiskati. Prosimo, da spoštujete pravila vedenja in gibanja v zaščitenem območju.

Pot poteka mimo Planinske koče Pesnik (dosežete je po 23,5 km), ki je bila zgrajena pred drugo svetovno vojno in je dobila pomembno vlogo po letu 1945, saj je bila Ribniška koča požgana in so kočo Pesnik uporabljali kot zavetišče. Poimenovali so jo Zavetišče Pesnik. Danes, zaradi slabih razmer s planinskimi kočami na Pohorju žal sameva.
