The Banjska river hike takes place near the village of Banjska. It's situated in northern Kosovo and it's surrounded by the mountain of Rogozna which cascades from central Serbia up to Northern Kosovo. The closest bigger city is the city of Zvecan which is 12km away and North Mitrovica which is 15km away. There are both bus stations in both cities.

The trail follows a beautiful, small mountain river, but I recommend not drinking from it.
The scenery is amazing, from old houses which date 200-300 hundred years, to last century vans being forgotten in some areas.
The wildlife is quite diverse, there are wild boars, rabbits, foxes and in some rare cases bears and wolves.

The trail is fairly easy to hike and only takes 45 minutes to do it, meaning you can bring your whole family and enjoy it's beauty.
People here are very friendly, and some will let you make camps, have daily picnics, etc.

In the center of the village there is a spa and a hotel with amazing local food and beer made in the local Serbian Orthodox Monastery which was built in the year 1317, making it over 700 years old as well as a Roman settlement.
