In 2018, the RATS will again be presenting the popular Bayview Blast. Hosted at Bayview Conservation Park, Redland Bay, the Blast has a new event base thanks to Redlands Council who have invested in the park with the provision of new amenities, skills park, sealed carpark and a second entrance for event days.

The Bayview Blast will be held on 9-10 June 2018, the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in NSW and Victoria. Hopefully, many of our southern cousins will make the trek to see what we have to offer

There is a race category for everyone in 2018.

Saturday is all about participation
The major event for Saturday in 2018 is the MND&Me Corporate Team Challenge. In teams of 3 or 4 teams will race over a 25 km course in support of the Bayview Blast charity partner for 2018 MND&Me. In a new feature for 2018 seeding for the corporate team challenge will be determined by the most funds raised by the team.

In addition to the corporate team challenge there will be a second team category for riders who just want to ride with their friends. In both team events the team time will be determined by the 3rd rider across the line.

In the solo categories there will be categories from Juniors up to open age categories to ride over the 25 km Saturday course.

New to the Saturday categories is the Trek Bicycle Stores Brisbane E-bike category. This will be the first category of the 25 km course to start. This is for pedal assist bikes only.

Junior Racing has 4 race distances for U15 down to balance bikes. There is 8 km, 4 km, 2 km and a 10-minute Kids10 race for our youngest competitors.
