Delightfully unaccommodating. Perfect track to burn off groms and wakeboarding coworkers.

1st time advice - Entering this trail from KVR stay left to keep on track, at around elev 1175 at a drainage there is a somewhat established but loose downhill trail that is quite a bit steeper and joins up with the Angel Springs Trail. This way is a bit more challenging and more than I wanted to tackle (had a good wipeout) and is easy to veer off on if not paying attention.

Trail Earring
The top of the trail from Race Classic to Hillbilly is not a blue trail. There are some very technical and difficult descents, including some near vertical drops. This is mixed with some flat pedal sections over loose rock that are highly unpleasant.

Below the Hillbilly junction, the trail becomes fast and flowy and is a great intermediate ride.

Upper Earring is more Black than Blue. Not for Novices, unless they like walking. True Blue almost Green from Middle Bench down.

Lots of trees down right now. Prepare to climb over a tree every few corners.

More technical rocky sections linked with flat rocky sections! Dry, rocky, and awesome.

Great climbing trail as an alternative to parts of pink highway.

Great piece of trail. Has flow if you're fast, and oh no, maybe you have to put a pedal stroke or two in. Highly recommended.

The top section of this trail was really nice before the “hillbilly-pink highway connector”, the bushes were beaten back nicely and had some decent flow, but below that connection the bushes are quite overgrown and the trail is rather rocky.

Terrible piece of trail. No flow and tons of flat and uphill sections. Not recommended.
