This course starts at the Arch, positioned where Harper Rd splits. Riders will go out in age groups and climb gravel road off the clock until Overtime (not listed on Trail Forks). Timing begins here on this fast single track downhill trail. Times on average across the day are likely to average 2 mins on this ripper. Still on the clock, racers find themselves back on a gravel road and passing underneath the start arch through a crowd of spectators. Once through the arch, a right turn into Dawg presents a technical trail entry, and then a very taxing windy downhill trail that requires near constant peddling to maximize speed. A bit longer than OT, Dawg is likely to yield times of 2 minutes 30 seconds or longer due to tired legs on the day. Arriving at the bottom of Dawg, the course crosses a gravel road and slips into a loose chute toward Hustler. Still racing that clock, the riders will be required to pedal for maximum pace, but pulled steadily by the gravity of a well ridden free ride trail. The bottom requires more leg work, and its likely that this is where the Enduro will be won and lost. A few punchy sections and some roots to make your screaming legs work all the way to the timing matt at the bottom. 2 minutes 30 seconds would be a super fast Hustler time after OT and Dawg. In total, I think we will see best times on the day around 7 minutes 30 seconds...but that would be fast

Small dead tree down just before franks meets hustler. Can be Easily cut with a hand saw. Possibly with a multi tool saw but would probably be challenging

Great climb. Definitely a challenge close to the end. Lots of loose gravel at the steep section but totally climbable. Just keep the power up, butt back, and spin!

My favorite lower burke mountain trail. Fast and reasonably technical for a blue. Feels reasonably natural without much scrubbing of the trail.

Few years back fast and flowy, not much love being given back.

Pretty fun trail at the beginning with some cool features, then the latter half really is a let down.
Lots of flat turns and is really hard to carry speed through.

Great trail today. All of Burke is in good shape save for the logging on the lowers. Sad to see it go.

Does anyone know what the maximum grade is on the road? The grade profile seems inaccurate.

A steep climb, but the road was fixed up in spring 2013 so there is far less loose rocks.
