The climb out of the start gate and up gravel pitches of 20% at its steepest will test the legs of BC's best senior boys and girls mountain bikers. But if they survive the mister climb, they will be grinning from ear to ear as they tackle fun but technical downhill single track on Burke Mountain's most commonly ridden trails. A steep and challenging entrance into Six puts riders on alert that its no simple decent. Roots and rocks keep tabs on speed for this first section. Find a rhythm, and keep yourself loose and you will fly down this singletrack gem. Next trail you see is called Big Boy Time...its a funny turn onto this one, so we'll have a marshal there for you. BBT is well built, and forces riders in and out of their saddles...dropper posts will rule the day Back onto gravel roads after the massive decent, a short but steep climb delivers riders to Overtime which will be ridden again in the Enduro. A sweet climber single track called Escalator will deposit racer son to a gravel loop prime for passing. Back through the start arch, riders then climb up steep gravel again to Frank's Trail where a 2 km XC ribbon ends with a technical single track climb full of power moves. The end of this 11 km test is manageable uphill gravel. It finishes on a straightway, and if the leaders can stay together, we'll hear North Shore legend "The Howeller" call in the sprint!

BCSS Championships 2016 Gr. 11/12 XC is a 6 mile popular intermediate route located near Coquitlam British Columbia. This mountain bike only route. This route includes 10 trails. This route climbs 1,628 ft with a max elevation of 2,044 ft then descends -1,536 ft.
