Difficult to find, tough grind. Don’t think it’s been ridden much in the past couple years.

Solid black diamond, the loose Rocky rutted out section can be pretty dangerous.

Nice trail for a self-shuttle ride in and out then continue to Hidden treasure and Bumble Bee trails. The trail is rated blue intermediate but watch out with the exposure sites and loose dirt on the edges will keep you on your toes for sure. Mostly flow with some sketchy switchbacks and decent altitude gain.

My favourite segment of the BCT, you really are in the middle of nowhere with very few (if any) people. Some exposure on parts of this trail but the scenery is just amazing. The trail beautifully meanders the contours of the canyon and below Sunset Point of the highway.

One of the best trails of the BCT. Do it either either way or both. A lot of fun and great views. A well put together set of trails.

This trail is more a Blue. But if riding it Col Ines with other BCT trails will bump the rating up to Black due to length and remoteness.
This is a nice trail, nothing technical. Currently not overgrown and not washed out in the arroyo area. Always easy to follow with trail markers.

Great trail. Better riding it North to South as the overall trend is downhill but totally doable riding the other way too, just a bit more climbing. Nothing difficult or technical on this trail should perhaps be a blue but because it mostly ridden in combination with other trails making it a longer ride is probably why it’s black. Trail is in pretty good shape; not particularly overgrown, some loose rocks and loose on corners but generally riding great.

Fun section of BCT. Descent (Southbound) is a blast. Climb (Northbound) is a little bit of work, but mellow grades, non-technical, totally cleanable. Easy Blue.

Fun section of BCT. Southernmost 4 miles is a fun, flowy descent Southbound, and a straightforward, easy climb Northbound. The Northernmost 2 miles of this segment are not particularly exciting, but quite easy.

Also, if you're an out-of-state visitor, this section of the BCT is sort of a transition zone where the Saguaros appear/disappear depending on direction. South of here, Saguaros line the trail pretty much the whole way. North of this section, there are a couple of outliers along the Antelope Creek section, then they're gone. Still pretty desert, but a very different feel.

January 2022, great section. Southbound it's maybe a little bit easier than the section to the immediate North (Arrastri Creek.) Call it "Advanced Blue" (absolutely NOT double black...) Northbound would be tough- there's a 3/4 miles stretch near the Northern end that would have most riders walking a ways... I returned via the Maggie Mine Road, which was quick and easy.

January 2022, loved this stretch of BCT. I'd rate it blue-black. Northbound is more difficult to clean than Southbound. Trail was in great shape, seems well-maintained.

Great trail! But a warning: we rode here after some rain and while the trails were awesome condition and just damp, the roads getting there (Crown King, Antelope Creek) were a muddy mess. In our 2 wheel drive vehicle we almost got stuck multiple places. I’m sure the locals know this but a warning for fellow travelers!

I've been riding dirt for 40 years. This is not even close to a "blue" trail. Black or double black.

December 2019, trail overgrown, blood and pinholes in jersey and shorts. First ride spent walking frequently. I've been dirt riding since 1971 though I'm not a great rider. This is a hard and dangerous trial. Blue is bullshit.

The first ~2 miles from the parking lot are mostly chunderous access road. The northern most .8 mile has an interesting Rocky climbing section then a flowy section.

Trail rides on the edge of a gully. Nice scenery. I rode up on a group of wild burros, we both scared each other pretty good!

The trail north from Table Mesa Road parking area is washed out along the river as of 2/26/2019. South trail was fine with plenty of loose rock but generally rideable.

Trail starts out somewhat mellow and gradually becomes more gnarly as you get closer to Maggie mine road. Take the blue rating with a grain of salt, concequnces for crashing on most of this trail are pretty high

Some of the most solid biking on the BCT. Climbs are rideable but require fitness. Descents are fast but stay interesting. Excellent scenery.

This section recently burned. Makes it feel noticeably hotter and less pleasant than other sections. More like hell. More technical than previous blue sections.

The north 25% is gravel road and a sandy river bed. The south 75% is magnificent, world-class single-track with some exposure.
