Trail BCT - Soap Creek
Solid black diamond, the loose Rocky rutted out section can be pretty dangerous.

Trail BCT - Soap Creek
January 2022, great section. Southbound it's maybe a little bit easier than the section to the immediate North (Arrastri Creek.) Call it "Advanced Blue" (absolutely NOT double black...) Northbound would be tough- there's a 3/4 miles stretch near the Northern end that would have most riders walking a ways... I returned via the Maggie Mine Road, which was quick and easy.

Trail BCT - Arrastri Creek
January 2022, loved this stretch of BCT. I'd rate it blue-black. Northbound is more difficult to clean than Southbound. Trail was in great shape, seems well-maintained.

Trail BCT - Soap Creek
I've been riding dirt for 40 years. This is not even close to a "blue" trail. Black or double black.

Trail BCT - Arrastri Creek
December 2019, trail overgrown, blood and pinholes in jersey and shorts. First ride spent walking frequently. I've been dirt riding since 1971 though I'm not a great rider. This is a hard and dangerous trial. Blue is bullshit.

Trail BCT - Arrastri Creek
Trail starts out somewhat mellow and gradually becomes more gnarly as you get closer to Maggie mine road. Take the blue rating with a grain of salt, concequnces for crashing on most of this trail are pretty high
