Ruta 03 de Basaburua MTB, Akelarre, que une tres buenos y variados senderos de bajada.

Comenzando desde Beruete, no habrá tiempo para quejarse, ya que empezamos con una subida no muy larga pero con duras rampas superiores al 25%. Al llegar a Kaateko Lepoa, tomaremos la pista que sale hacia la derecha para seguir superando una subida llevadera por sendero hasta llegar a la entrada de Iratxo.Bajada flow mayormente por hayedo con mucha curva, algún salto natural...y final más revirado entre castaños. Pura diversión.

Por pista de hormigón enlazaremos el pueblo de Arrarats, con posibilidad de aprovisionarnos de agua. Desde aquí, duras rampas hasta las campas de Otxola, precioso lugar donde nace el río Otxola, de ahí su nombre. En la pequeña txabola de piedras también tendremos agua.

Desde aquí, preciosa subida hasta el monte Ernaitzu empleando el sendero de Aiskueta, un tramo espectacular entre piedras y atravesando una ladera donde yacían los Gentiles. EL sendero sigue subiendo y subiendo hasta llegar a la valla de Sobresate. A partir de aquí, seguiremos subiendo por la cara Norte del monte Ernaitzu improvisando unas "Z"-s para evitar la fuerte pendiente.

Desde la cima comienza el sendero Ernaitzu, con unas vistas a 360º, impresionante. Girando hacia izquierda empezaremos la bajada, con inicio técnico hasta llegar al sendero que cruza la campa. Este sendero lo dejaremos sin llegar hasta el final, para cruzar la campa y enlazar con otro sendero. Cruzar la valla y cogeremos el tramo divertido de la bajada...curvas, algún salto natural...muy rápida.

La bajada nos vuelve a dejar en Kaateko Lepoa. Desde aquí volveremos a subir por la primera subida, pero esta vez hasta la cima, para coger la bajada Akerbeltz. Bajada cañera, con pasos técnicos, que a medida que vamos bajando se va suavizando...pero no mucho. Tras finalizar el sendero, ya solamente queda volver al punto de inicio.

BE03. Akelarre is a 11 mile popular red route located near Lekunberri. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 11 trails. This route climbs 3,432 ft with a max elevation of 3,928 ft then descends -3,423 ft.
