Ruta 05 de Basaburua MTB, Izakiak, que une las últimas novedades de Basaburua MTB.

Podremos comenzar la ruta tanto desde el pueblo de Beruete, como desde Arrarats. En este caso, dejamos el coche en Beruete, de esta forma podremos recuperar fuerzas en la posada tras meternos una buena ruta entre pata y pata.

La primera subida será lo más duro físicamente del día. Las rampas de hormigón al salir de Beruete nos harán temblar, pero una vez que lleguemos al alto de Kaate, la cosa cambia. El camino del agua, un bonito camino de sube y baja por un hayedo magnífico, nos llevará hasta las campas de Otxola, otro lugar de película. Desde aquí, la subida se vuelve llevadera, comenzando por pista y terminando con un sendero serpenteante, hasta el inicio de la primera bajada: Sorginak. Un tramo espectacular, largo y de mucha fluidez que nos hará sacar una gran sonrisa al final del trayecto.

El sendero nos dejará en el pueblo de Arrarats, y desde aquí, seguiremos por pista hasta la entrada del sendero Nagini. Bonito sendero de subida, en el que necesitaremos cierta técnica para superar cada una de las curvas. Este nos dejará cerca de las antenas de Beruete, y tras un pequeño trozo de pista, accederemos a Jentilak.

Tras un inicio lento entre pasos de piedras, el sendero se vuelve fluido con curvas, algún salto doble, una pasarela de madera y más pasos entre rocas. Este nos llevará a terminar en la parte final de Akerbeltz, llegando hasta abajo satisfechos de la vuelta corta pero intensa.

Una vez abajo, volvemos al pueblo a relajarnos.

BE05. Izakiak is a 9 mile popular intermediate route located near Lekunberri. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 11 trails. This route climbs 2,345 ft with a max elevation of 3,624 ft then descends -2,336 ft.
