Please ride this direction to reduce conflicts on the new Brundage to Bear Basin (B2BB) trail.
Park at the corrals parking lot on FS451. Climb FS451 and continue straight through the 4-way intersection to the next fork with FS488. Ignore the fork with FS1090 and continue straight up the short, but steep climb. As the climb begins to mellow you'll ride through a wide clearing which the B2BB crosses. This is the junction of the figure 8 loop. Do not climb the singletrack, but instead continue to climb the road to the Brundage boundary. Just within Brundage's limit you'll see the Growler singletrack climbing to the right (uphill) side. Climb Growler to the top of B2BB. Grab a drink and rip the B2BB singletrack downhill across the junction with 488. Continue down and across the junction with 1090. Continue down to the crossing with 452. At this point you can cross 452 and climb up into the Bear Basin network or climb 452 to the 4-way crossing at the beginning of the ride. Bear Basin's singletracks add a lot of options to stretch the ride or connect back to the TH.
