Bear spray is a good idea

Solid loop with some challenging climbing, good flow on top and a rowdy descent.

Super muddy through the rock gardens. Also lots of blown out corners. Overall a bad time.

Looks like a beautiful ride--too bad they won't let e-bikes here. A pedal-assist ebike won't hurt the trails and lets us old folks enjoy the mountain rides.

Trail Bear Canyon
Starts out as a typical Bozeman hiking trail with a fair amount of space to pass. Nothing special until it reaches a fun section with lots of opportunities for jumps on the way down (in about the middle). The rest of the ride is extremely steep.

I rate the ride 3 stars. I would give it more but the trail is prone to mud and has tons of mosquitoes/flies to deal with.
