BearGooseNut via Trail is a 25 mile moderately popular intermediate route located near Bozeman Montana. This mountain bike only route. This route includes 11 trails. This route climbs 4,331 ft with a max elevation of 7,633 ft then descends -4,330 ft.

The first 1 3/4 miles are on private property and were a little over grown. The track is 10”-12” wide on this section. I don’t think that is green. There was a fair amount of post holing from stock. Once we hit forestry service the trail is wider. I didn’t realize we were climbing very much on the way in but the return was fun and almost all downhill.

Frequent mud pits, many mandatory. Needs to dry out, but started raining towards end of my descent so only getting wetter.
