This is a suggested route for beginners. You'll find the beginner-rated trails harder than beginner-rated trails elsewhere, and you may have to walk some sections, but this is as easy as it gets at SMH.

Starting from the Innovation trailhead parking lot, you take the double-track Trillum trail to Terry Fox, then the road and a multi-user path to the main "K2" trailhead at the corner of Klondike and Old Second Line Road.

From there, take Klondike and Bear Tree Trail, Fast Out, Porcupine from West to East, double back on Fast out trail again, then Mario's Line from West to East.

Back on Bear Tree heading north, take the Brady Street Exit to Old Second Line Road and retrace your steps to Trillium Trail by the school. But this time, take Shadow's Ridge to return. You'll have to walk sections of it, but there are some smooth flowy, bermy sections you can ride.

If you struggle with Trillium or Bear Tree trails, then you better turn around. It only gets harder. Suggest trying Larose Forest instead if that is the case.
