Classic Ben Alder Loop Anti-clockwise.

It starts off with a logging road section along Loch Ericht which then continues up to Culra Bothy (changes to singletrack a few kilometres out). From there there is a lovely long and gentle singletrack climb right up to a pass at 727 meteres. From there an undulating start followed by a long descent back down to Loch Ericht with a bothy at the bottom. From there there is a huge hike a bike section up to around 837m in a north east direction. Short decent to the Corrie Lochan (usually very muddy). After the lochan a long descent back to Culra Bothy then retrace your steps back to Dalwhinnie. Around a 52km loop and 1,200 meters climbing. Save this for a sunny day for maximum views especially after the hike a bike.
