Snowy throughout. Thin enough to ride roads up then trail down but wouldn't want to ride up anything unless on a fat bike.

Rode on 8/22 without any issues or signs that the trail or NF-3540 is closed, as previously reported. There IS a barrier and closure notice just beyond the south trailhead on NF-3550 if you wanted to continue east, down the road, for some reason. There seems to be a disconnect between the reality on the ground and the trail status.
