Trail Dare A Sarah
Echoing what others are saying... these are green/blue trails at the most with a few 'black' tech options scattered throughout. Nothing compared to black trails at South Mtn. or other local riding spots. This is a an easy spin, single speed, recovery ride or a great place to bring kids. But don't come here expecting anything challenging.

Stick to Scorpion, Tarantula, Dara-A-Sarah, or Sidewinder area if looking for actual technical features near Pima Dynamite TH. Stagecoach has more tech than this trail.

Definitely full of bike park berms, but short and not nearly as fun as Hawks or High Desert in the downhill directions. Also, no indication this should be ridden downhill on trail, caution for those riding up.

Trail Brown's Mtn.
If you can clean Sidewinder and/or Dixie at Sonoran Preserve, this will be a fun challenge compared to the rest of Brown's.

Hawknest trail, either direction is fun and flowy. South to north is not strenuous at all as some others described. North to south, yes more fun and flowy but either way, we had so much fun in both direction…check it out, not technical but it is a great trail for all levels!

Yep, skip the east half, ride from Connector to Brown's Rd, so much fun! If not busy (think weekday evenings), 20+ mph plus jumps (gaps if you have enough speed/technique), with a couple short steep bits towards the end to keep you honest.

Trail Corral Trail
If you want to have fun, ride this segment of the trail westbound (not as shown in elevation chart). All downhill, lots of bumps to get air off of, rarely see anyone else out on this trail. Cruising up the east portion from Brown's Road is not bad (www.trailforks.com/trails/corral-trail-15261), just spin for a few minutes to the start of this section, it's worth it.

Linking this into Buckshot is also very fun!

Probably a blue with some black features. The climb is chunky & steep in some sections but entirely rideable. Beautiful views with a fast & super fun rocky descent.

Probably some of the largest features at Brown's (save east side of Brown's Mtn trail), but as many have said, still 'techy blue' by comparison to Prescott/Sedona/Flag trails (or even Trail 100 more locally).
Super fun place to build tech skills and plenty of different lines in a single segment of the trail to try out and build confidence. Don't forget those uphill skills/line choice...

The easiest of the 'black diamond' trails at Brown's. Mostly just narrower than other trails in the area, minimal tech features. Most smooth blue XC trails around Prescott have more tech than this trail.

The trail is located in the north eastern part of browns ranch meaning you have to ride a couple miles to get here. This trail is the most technical trail in browns ranch, it has many rock boulders that you go down and climb over. There are also alternate lines that go around the technical features. This trail is like a dumbed down version of the national trail. It has large rocks and boulders that you go over but in between the rock sections it is a smooth hard packed single track. Brown's ranch is a very popular place but since the trail is in the middle of brown’s there is very little traffic on El DIablo.

If your grandparents ever told you about having to walk to school, uphill in both directions, it's because they took Hawkes Next to get there. Rode it from the North, expecting a nice descent, like West Express, and did not get it. It is nice and flowy, but you go up almost as much as you go down.

I dislike when no one describes where to park and the trip to and from the vehicle. Okay so if I want to go South to north, where do I park? if I want to go North to South, where do I park? I get that that's not the ride but I have to get their. Am I missing something?

I like to ride this section from green to red. Compared to Diablo South, I think Diablo North is the easier of the two but gives you more session opportunities because there are multiples lines at about each feature. If you do not want to tackle a section, you can bypass them, but where’s the fun it that?

I like to ride this from red to green, so north to south. Great section with some great boulder crawls to test your skills. I would recommend scoping lines before tackling some of the bigger hurdles since there are quite a few line choices. You will have cell service (Verizon, Sprint) in this area so you can double check the maps in case u get turned around. Also, the more technical sections can be bypassed if you do not feel comfortable tackling them and don’t want to HAB. Overall this is a great trail to improve your technical skills.

I wanted to give a little update about these trails after riding here again on 03/19/2020. These trails, I believe are overrated. These are definitely not black diamond trails. A majority of the trails out here marked as a black diamond are intermediate trails. Not to mention, most of the harder bits can be bypassed. It was just a shame to see so many people at this trailhead yet no people on the black diamonds. I would say that these are about 90% intermediate and 10% advanced, especially compared to South Mountain and Sedona trail systems. These ratings are keeping people of the trails, which is a shame. If you are on the fence with riding these areas, just give them a shot. If you can’t clear a section, there is nothing wrong with a little hike-a-bike.

This is a great trail in a great network! Brown's Ranch is super fun and has amazing views and engaging terrain. Diablo North is moderately technical with go-arounds if you need them. I rode it north to south and felt like I was climbing all the features rather than descending them, which was challenging, but I think it would be more flowy from south to north twowheeledwanderer.com/posts/best-mountain-bike-trails-in-phoenix-arizona

Trail Dare A Sarah
Hit this trail system for the first time today and rode thos trail uphill. No where near in comparison to Diablo in Brown’s ranch but had fun riding it. There are bypasses around the “most difficult” areas of the trail for those that do not want to climb the boulders out here. I will definitely visit this trail again.

I like to ride South to North. It flows better and I can ride down the technical features instead of climbing up them.

Best ridden from the South to Northwest. Probably the fastest/most fun downhill run in the preserve. Super clean and the berms are built up super high to really carve into turns

Trail Brown's Mtn.
Hands down one of the best trials in the Valley. Great stuff from tricky tech to fast flowy sections. The climb was tolerable and the surrounding were beautiful, definitely coming back????

I feel like this trail is a little over rated. It was fun, but more deserving of an intermediate designation.

GREAT RIDE North To South (downhill) with lots of jumps. CAREFUL as lots of blind corners and riders also riding south to north. I would full approve this trail to be single direction as we had 4 "encounters" in single ride with fast moving downhillers and I love to ride this one down hill.

Great trail, some tight switchbacks with no room for error (unless you want to wipe out into a cholla) will make you keep your speed in check. Still pretty suitable for beginners, some of the most beautiful views come from this trail in my opinion.

Good fun as a downhill (North to South). Easy trail with fast section and a few slow corners chill out at cathedral rock to visit with other riders.

Best if ridden east to west. Also the western half is tons of fun an can be taken at pretty high speeds. I like to go around granite mountain then down the west side of Cholla mountain and finish with the second half of Maverick to get to the parking lot.

Easy way around most hard feature. Not very demanding. Pretty flowy for most of it with a few small technical section. Still super fun.

Very fun technical stuff. Ride it south to north from the divide trail. The signage is confusing as hell so it takes some trial and error to find a route. The trail disappears altogether when it crosses the granite slabs. I had to get off my bike and study lines quite a bit, which is cool by me.

Great stuff--twisty and fairly smooth with gradual pitch. Can be ridden either direction. Cholla Mtn scenery is gorgeous.

Trail Brown's Mtn.
About the most vertical you can get in Brown's Ranch, but I wouldn't call it a black diamond.
