This route highlights the best trails within the Midland and Whipple Trail Systems in the most efficient and downhill focused fashion.

The route starts off at the Midland Trail system's upper parking lot, after a short warmup on Bacon Strip you will blast down Django, before a quick climb back to your starting point. After another visit to Bacon Strip you will head towards Sausage Link and Bacon Bits in the west to east direction.

The route repeats Sausage Link and Bacon Bits (aka "the breakfast meats trails"), however you will be rewarded as the trails ride completely different in each direction, providing entertaining jump features and great flow in each direction.

After riding the "breakfast meats" trails in the west to east direction you arrive at the routes showcase trail Unchained. This almost 4 mile gem has a little bit of everything, short flow sections, technical climbs, steep rock slabs, rock gardens, kickers and rolls. Signage along the way provides moderate vs expert skill level challenges.

Next you will now climb the upper portion of Django to gain access to Midland trail which brings you back to the "breakfast meats", however now you will be enjoying the playful features available to you in the east to west direction.

Now your ready to start your descent down into Buena Vista via the Whipple Trail system. You will start off down Fistfull of Dollars before splitting off to the right onto Ramsour trail. This techy and punchy cross country style trail will keep you entertained with unique rock features along the way.

The routes final test piece is Broken Boyfriend South trail, which splits off to the right after crossing CR 304. The trail has several sections many consider more challenging then any feature on Unchained. Once you reach the northern variant of the Broken Boyfriend trails, you will be rewarded with a little more flow and the final descent into BV and hopefully some Eddyline pizza and beer
