This is the best route I can create to take advantage of the amazing Twin Peaks - Mount Sutro - Laguna Honda Trail Systems. This route starts at the bottom where there is plenty of parking and maximizes the best downhill sections of each area (and including a few hidden trails).

The bottom of this trail is a series of switch backs that are a fun climb. The downhill you can get going fast quickly and slam into the first walled corner, then two high bank switchbacks shoot you onto the ravine trail, very fun section.

While very doable to ride uphill, I don't find it a fun ride and normally take the road up and cut in past the sleeping guard to rejoin the trail on the downhill part. Watch out for the bushy tree at the very end, lower than it looks.

Narrow, but ridable. Good connector to Twin Peaks.

Trail was recently widened in many areas. A better up than down

Combined with Troop 88 this is probably the best/longest run of downhill in the city, the last part down to Clarendon street is a nice steep section with fun left rights to end it. The other loop in Laguna is a bit easier, but also fun, great training loops if you live in the fog.

When doing this from TP to Sutro I vote for this being a black.

Beware poison oak and blackberry brambles encroaching on tight sections of the trail.
