Get an epic start to this year’s Sedona Mountain Bike festival with a 30-mile, 4,000-foot loop that crosses local favorites like Brewer, Schnebly Hill and Hangover. We've got the loop up on Trailforks here. If you’ve never done any big days in Sedona, keep in mind that the miles here don’t come easy. Be ready for a challenging ride, both uphill and down. Bring everything you’d need for a full day in the saddle. There will be two stops to refill on water (and other beverages) but err on the side of caution as you pack your bags. We expect the ride to last about 5-6 hours. We’ll be meeting at the festival entrance at 8:30 AM on Friday, March 4th, rolling out at 9 AM sharp, and ending right back where we started. If you’ve got any questions, you can send them to Beta’s own Travis Engel ([email protected]).

Getting there was harder than expected, so take your time and save your energy. You’ll need it. Trust the rubber and follow the trail markers and stop once in a while to enjoy some of the best views of Sedona while making your way down the prettiest red trail I’ve ever ridden. Around every corner is a OMG moment.
Praise for the trail builder here. She’s a beauty!

PS Watch for that one sharp left turn on soft red dirt, very easy to fly off the trail.

It was a long n rough gravel road to get here. Those Jeep tours do a lot of damage.
Maybe easier to just climb up the last section than taking the rd like i did.
The lower sections are not friendly to uphill traffic.
Nothing special about the top trail other than elevation and view. Much lower temps.
Single track on an old road bed and very vert top is buried rocks.

Cool rick ledge section just above the river that always flows. Most is climable going up from river if you are a really good and skilled climber. Many step ups that are for the masters if climbing. Not so bad for those that have to dismount n walk a few feet.
Great views of down town.
I rode other direction the year before and seems there were two crossings but niw in 2019 just one, well one stream and an island that makes it seem as two.

Good way to connect to the river trail.
I do this to connect, not for anything the trail offers (other than views)

The trail was in great shape - dusty, but that's to be expected. For this of you (like me) with 800 mm bars, be prepared to strike hands on some of the overhanging rocks by wearing gloves, as the alternative is a potential tumble down hundreds of feet off to your right!

Fun trail nonetheless. Not saying it's bad, just not an accurate rating.

I'd go between black and double black though, I've ridden harder trails rated less.
