The BME Durango Purgatory event will take place on August 28th and 29th in the majestic San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Racers can expect two big days of racing, including some backcountry stages. Official practice will take place on Thursday and Friday, with racing action on Saturday and Sunday. The Purgatory Bike Park features quality downhill terrain at Purgatory Resort near Durango, Colorado and is an established pathway to over 400 miles of high alpine singletrack for hard core mountain bike enthusiasts. Durango is a bucket list destination and an event that you don’t want to miss.

Located just 25 miles north of Durango and surrounded by the majestic San Juan Mountains, Purgatory Resort is the destination for an authentic Colorado mountain experience. The Village Plaza base area features a vibrant assemblage of family friendly activities, lodging, retail shops, restaurants and bars. Throughout the summer, Purgatory provides hiking and lift-served mountain biking, plus over a dozen family friendly activities, including the area’s only Inferno Mountain Coaster and alpine slide. Detailed Description
Big Mountain Enduro - Purgatory 2021 is a 46 mile extreme race route located near Durango Colorado. This mountain bike only route. This route includes 11 trails. This route climbs 10,862 ft with a max elevation of 11,471 ft then descends -10,849 ft.
