The BME returns to Winter Park / Trestle Bike Park again in 2021, which is consistently ranked as one of the best bike parks in North America. Taking place on Saturday, August 14th, this ever-popular event will blend high altitude racing mixed with rugged terrain and big descents.

Riders will be challenged to 1 day of racing that will push the athletes to the utmost and keep them on their toes at all times. Racers can expect 4 legitimate stages for the single day race. No tech support or aid stations will be provided on course. The BME sponsor and vendor village will be located in the base village, where tech support and race teams will be located.

I made the same mistake as bocomtb and ended up on Trestle DH, so be careful of that! Search and Seizure is actually a pretty short trail. It's VERY fun though and has everything: Jumps, drops, tech, and berms. I had a blast on this trail. Check out my full video on Youtube if you want to see the whole trail. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsfYP46_0Pg&t=11s

I stand by my comment above! Either dumb the whole trail down and mark it blue or mark it double black like how it used to be! What a joke riskin it for the Jerry's that look at the drop.

This trail should be renamed to believe in Jerry. Ever since the trail crew decided it to be a good idea to make the 2 foot wood drop at the entrance of the trail into a ROLLER I knew all the newbz are going to go down instead of the easier option. BEWARE OF NEWBZ ON THIS TRAIL.

Note that this trail changes considerably were it intersects the service road and Jury Duty splits off to the left. Before the intersection its very fast and very smooth with optional wood features. After the intersection, it becomes more of a tech trail and has a short uphill section. I recommend Jury Duty over the very bottom section of Long Trail.

The entrance is steep and intimidating compared with the rest of the trail, at least up to the Shy-Ann cutoff. If you miss that cutoff you will have to ride a steep and somewhat chunky section of Trestle DH. I now consider that a good thing - felt different a few years ago before my skills improved.

"It'd be blue at Whistler" holds true for this trail. But it's rated appropriately in relation to the rest of Trestle. Definitely recommended as a changeup to the Rainmaker-No Quarter route that most people take.
