Still awesome! Been a little while, and I'm on a new bike. Felt easier. Was it the bike or the "tree chopping report"? Not sure. Hiker was coming up, but I had a bell and speed under control no problem. I yielded/stopped, said hi, he walked past. and I kept having fun. Be a good steward.

Trail Little Berms
I've never been down this run until today and there did seem to be some little berms. Not sure how little they were before but they're definitely there.

I know it sucks. I saw some guys down there in city trucks driving back and forth across the trail. Isn’t the SDMBA, at the very least, supposed to protect existing trails? Nevermind maintaining them and creating new ones... If I was allowed, I’d be out there every weekend with a shovel..

What happened to the berms? Someone took them out and ruined a good trail.

It gets roughed up quick. Would still consider this blue due to steepness and tight turns. Some of the pavers have been removed from the very bottom, which to me seems like an improvement. I hope it’s permanent.

Needs a one way do not enter sign at the exit for mtb. Almost collided with some guys going the wrong way. Who enjoys climbing this thing?

The PQ rangers tried that and then reverted to bi-directional. I climb T4 fairly frequently. It's a more enjoyable climb than cardiac. Also, hikers and trail runners use T4 in both directions. Bells are important.

I've never done a climb that I would describe as 'enjoyable'. Ha ha.

Seems to have been smoothed out a bit, making it significantly less challenging. I think this is now closer to green than black as some have previously stated. Still a nice run.

Definitely not a black, but very fun. It’s a little challenge before you merge into cobbles and one of my favorite trails.

Do people really climb up this? I tried today and failed miserably, it is a blast going down though.

Yes, we climb. Not easy. Other than head back down the same trail, other reasons are to descend on Big Waimea/Red Diamond (hidden on the map) or head over to the ocean air area.

Agree with @NFLPhD. I consider myself a strong intermediate rider and I think this run maybe butts up against being black diamond but perhaps doesn't cross that line. It's close.

There are some tight turns to be aware of. I'm a big, slightly overweight guy (6'1, 225) and I needed to slam on the brakes a couple times when I was overambitious with my downhill speed. Ha ha. Gravity, what are you gonna do?

I meant to turn right and take a loop around the pond but I was going too fast and missed it. This run is so quick it's over just as you're getting into it, but overall super fun. Will ride again.

Good lead in to the lower part of Cobbles.

This is a great trail that is fast and flowy and weaves its way through the canopy of trees and bushes... A lot of cobblestones at the top so make sure you ride fast enough to get up on the dirt berms to go through the turns... Several low branches that you can hit your head on or your light on your helmet if riding at night. The trail is narrow on a few sections.
A must ride for anyone visiting this area for the first time.

Trail The Sh!ts
There is a log jump you can fly off of at the top and get a decent amount of air on. You can rude around d the jump so if you don't know how to jump, this isn't the jump you want to go off of... Flowy towards the top then a series of tight s turns with berms towards the bottom. It's geared for more advanced riders but not sure I'd say its Black Diamond. Good challenge for intermediate riders.

Trail Bowtie Rim
A fun trail to start your ride on after climbing up Powerlines... Flowy and fast with three rocky but flowy turns. A great trail to see how fast you can go on... One jump about 70% the way through the trail. Ride this before heading out to the west rim trail and the north rim trail.

Awesome jump near the top with an easy bypass and then some fun berms with some pedal sections connecting them.

Fallen tree is still not cleared, I don't know if I have permission to clear it. Also there is a low lying branch in one of the downhill sections that almost got me. Be wary of that when you go down

Fun trail! Wear eye protection. I ran into a small low hanging branch, had I not been wearing glasses I may have suffered an eye injury.

Riding up is ok, and a challenge! Let's just be careful. Technically, uphill riders have the right of way. But downhill riders are having more fun, so I like to get out of their way.

Go BSA Eagle project! It looks and rides nice at the bottom now. The banks are kind of funky, but not much more they could do. The dirt they dug out was hard as concrete and the blocks weigh a ton! THANKS!
