Designated winter access on Blackcomb Mountain to Garibaldi Provincial Park. It begins either on skier’s right of Merlin’s ski run or from Lot 7. Travelers will need to turn left toward Home Run, then follow the route: Home Run > Blackcomb Bench Climb > Short Horn > Green Line > North Route.

This is an unmaintained All Weather Conditions winter route. The North Route is not currently marked, flagging tape will be added along the route during the 2022/23 winter season, navigation skills are required (maps, compass and/or GPS and skills to use these tools).

Skiers and snowboarders looking to re-enter Whistler Blackcomb’s ski area boundaries from the backcountry should check in with Patrol (604-905-2324) for up-to-date avalanche conditions and terrain closures within the ski area boundary. When re-entering the ski area boundary after hours please be aware of operational hazards such as grooming cats, snowmobiles and to adhere to all signage and fencing.

Detailed Description
Blackcomb Uphill Winter Access - North Route is a 6 mile popular expert route located near Whistler British Columbia. This backcountry ski only route. This route includes 3 trails. This route climbs 3,421 ft with a max elevation of 5,922 ft then descends -33 ft.
