High Point

A long 9 mile road climb up Bolam Pass leads you to one of the stunning sections of the Colorado Trail, Blackhawk Pass. Multiple sections of climbs and small descents has you finishing your climb at 12,000' Blackhawk pass. From there you'll be treated with a 1,400' descent to the forest service road. From there make your way to Stagecoach for a fast descent back to Hermosa Creek. If you want to tack on a few more miles and vert, skip Stagecoach and come down Corral Draw adding 5 miles and 500' more climbing.

Cross the creek (be prepared for wet feet) to Hermosa Creek and ride that back to your car.

Detailed Description

Blackhawk Pass Loop via Hermosa is a 25 mile popular expert route located near Durango Colorado. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 1 trails. This route climbs 4,267 ft with a max elevation of 11,987 ft then descends -4,292 ft.
