This is a temporary route during the closure. Please do not enter the closed area. There will be flagging on the mountain. Maps of the closure can be found on the CTSS facebook page or the Municipality of North Cowichan Facebook page.

Starting on Thursday, September 26, 2019, due to blowdown removal, many of the central trails on Mt. Tzouhalem will be closed for safety reasons. The area of closure is to prevent riders/hikers from ending up in work zones. Heavy equipment use and active falling will be taking place for approximately 2 weeks. During this time, there will be no access to the closure area.

This route allows users to access the summit of Mt. Tzouhalem avoiding the closure area. The route will be challenging as there is no use of the access roads. All travel is on single track and will be difficult for intermediate riders. Finality is a strenuous climb. All other trails on the route are moderate.
