Trail Artwork
This trail was originally built by Art as a hiking trail. Once discovered by mountain bikers, it became quite popular, wearing in through use. Art was thrilled to find bikers helping to maintain the trail by removing fallen logs and filling muddy bits with corduroy. Most of it stays dry when other trails in the area become wet. It creates nice loop options, especially when connected with newer trails such as Artwork North and Beaverdam trails. You can also climb to a lookout near the mid point, offering views to the south. Happily, it was groomed this winter for winter riding. This is a fun trail!

Trail Artwork
I did see any flow in that trail. Just tons and tons of roots, not the nice challenging ones, just lots of annoying roots. The trail is narrow and half covered by foliage. It feels like it was built before mountain biking was a thing, and has not been used since. Very few signs that it is actually ridden at all. In all the trails i have ridden, I hate to say it, but that’s the worse i’ve seen so far. Apologies to those who work hard to build and maintain trail for us to uses.

This is for the Greenway/FFTW area in general. There is a cow & calf moose in the area, the cow is starting to get aggressive, she knocked down & stepped on a hiker yesterday (March 9th). Her calf is quite young so she is in protection mode. If you see them give a wide berth or choose another route.
