The red route follows the trails along "Klein Oppermanskop" & "Groot Oppermanskop". Groot Oppermanskop is the highest mountain above sea-level in the Northern Cape.

The route starts with a easy doubletrack road and a loop with a viewpoint over the small town of Noupoort. You will then find yourself on the doubletrack trail of Klein Oppermanskop and eventually Groot Oppermanskop. When exiting Groot Oppermanskop's trail you can enjoy a straight, flat trail and work your way back to the camping site. This route will definitely test your technical skills

Detailed Description

Blydefontein Red Route is a 10 mile popular intermediate route located near Noupoort. This mountain bike only route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 13 trails. This route climbs 660 ft with a max elevation of 5,842 ft then descends -657 ft.
