Headlight with 1000 lumens or brighter recommended for unexpected or planned nighttime end of ride.

Endurance ride with two single tracks (McCurdy, Olema Valley) and two fire roads (Bolinas Ridge, Dan's). One steep technical 2-mile single track descent (McCurdy); ascent not recommended due to deeply rutted sections with loose rocks. Riding surfaces mostly graded dirt, compacted native soil (forest sections), embedded and loose rocks (some ascents and descents). Spectacular panoramic views, especially at sunset. Fairy-tale redwood groves in middle of Bolinas Ridge.
