Headlight with 1000 lumens or brighter recommended for unexpected or planned nighttime end of ride.

Endurance ride with two single tracks (McCurdy, Olema Valley) and two fire roads (Bolinas Ridge, Dan's). One steep technical 2-mile single track descent (McCurdy); ascent not recommended due to deeply rutted sections with loose rocks. Riding surfaces mostly graded dirt, compacted native soil (forest sections), embedded and loose rocks (some ascents and descents). Spectacular panoramic views, especially at sunset. Fairy-tale redwood groves in middle of Bolinas Ridge.

A good option for this is to climb Randall Trail, which is an easy going fire road that has a good amount of shade. Once at the top, traverse Bolinas Ridge to the top of McCurdy.

The climb sucks, plain and simple unless you are into continuous pain. This "trail" looks to be an old fire break going STRAIGHT UP the contour. I don't really even see going down all that great, you will be on your brakes the whole time.

If you climb it prepare to feel like you’re dying even if the weather isn’t that hot.

Somehow I missed the fork towards the end which should fork left , I guess I was going too fast and ended up on some steep fun fire road that ended at the road which made it hard to find the connection to olema valley... make sure to look out for a left hand fork towards the bottom when riding this!!!

Climbed it, which I don’t recommend. It’s pretty rutted out but a mostly fun descent nonetheless.
