I thought this trail was a f-ing blast! Mentally and physically demanding. Didn't feel like constant climbing at all. Rode clockwise from the lot. Will definitely ride again.

It was suggested to me to ride this trail at an LBS after stating that I liked 701 among other trails. I have to say that I was rewarded with amazing views and wildlife (saw a herd of Rams). However, I have to agree with previous commenters, It's basically nonstop climbing, It took me probably 1hr 50min to ride 5 miles (started from parking lot). The risk to reward ratio on this trail is very high and I highly doubt I'll ride it again...however I may consider hiking it sometime.

Trail West Leg
Just rode this trail for the first time from the top of Girl Scout. I'd say I'm an intermediate rider and ride a 2021 Intense Sniper T (120mm travel front/rear) and would rate this a solid blue- definitely not an easy beginner trail, but not particularly advanced. There were about 4 spots I had to dismount and walk due to obstacles and some pretty gnarly/sketchy portions of trail. Not sketchy to walk, though, and they're very short sections. It's very rocky and took constant focus, muscle, and maneuvering to pick decent lines (but was still bumpy even on good lines). Going the way I went it wasn't really much cardio, though I suspect it would be a nice gritty, technical climb going the other way. If you're looking for a way back down to the lower parking lot and want something more challenging than Girl Scout, this could be a good one. I had fun on this trail and will likely ride it again, but it's more of a 'zone in' ride where nothing but the trail exists because you can't spare a moment for the mind to drift to anything else (which is nice) and not really a flowy fast ride.

Very techy descent with some loose dirt spots, exposure and off camber corners.not many “oh shit” moments.. I keep feeling the hardest part is to get to the start but once you do is a reward coming down.

I'm not a Moto guy, but to the person who commented and said this trail is not open to motorized vehicles, it actually is. It's the only MTB trail in the system that is though (ebikes too), so the only one you'll have to share the trail with motos on.

Every time I ride this trail it feels like I am just climbing the entire time. It doesn't matter which direction you go in, it seems to be uphill in both ways. Its a fun trail, but it doesn't have a big payout for all the climbing this trail seems to offer.

I definitely get the same feeling, but if you ride it clockwise from the lot, you can finish with Girl Scout/East Leg/West Leg to get your downhill fix on the way back to the car.

Great conditions a few days after the rain, unfortunately ran into a group of 15 motos (all KTMs) near the north end. They believe it is a combined trail for motos and MTB. Tried my best to convince them otherwise. Luckily the good conditions will allow it to pack down where they tore it up.

Not downhill at all and only for those who love tech pedaling and exposure. Great trail work but you're working the entire time and only one short part feels like you're even descending. No crazy hard moves but a few tricky moves with high consequence. Worth riding once.

SANDBAG ALERT. This is not a blue. I’ve ridden trails constantly for the past 3 months in BC, Oregon and California and this is way more technical than any blue I’ve been on. I’m sure super fun for expert bikers but would rate this the least fun trail out of many I’ve done over the last few months. Encourage local graders to rethink how you colour your trails cause it makes it inaccessible to us mere mortals.

Great intermediate trail. There is one big drop with a technical ride around thats probably a black diamond obstacle but if you scope out your line ahead of time isn't too bad just watch out for the front wheel grabber will put you OTB if you're not careful.

Love this one. So far it's the easiest of the 4 or 5 that I've ridden out there. Good place to start for a beginner or even as a warm-up. There are a couple sections where you might have to walk if your technical game is not on point. The beginning also has some slight exposure but nothing like the other trails out there. I've heard a fun way to hit this is to pedal or get a ride to the very top and then take Boy Scout to Girl Scout! I'm guessing it would be fun. Boy Scout is a little more pedal-ly but lots of fun too. Highly recommend knee pads at the very least. You can get away with a regular MTB helmet for Girl Scout and maybe even Boy Scout but better safe than sorry with the Full Face, protect your brain and also your face....those rocks are not very forgiving out there!
