A permit is required to access the Bottelary Hills Conservancy MTB Trails network, which must be displayed on the bike handlebars at all times.
Bottelary Hills Conservancy and the landowners accept no responsibility for any damage or injury incurred.

Flowing single track along dams and rivers, mostly downhill to the half way mark.
Climb back up via open farm roads. Rejoins Red 1.5km further from the point where it splits off.

Follow yellow arrow route markers.
There is a water point along this route at Dwars-in-die-Weg.

After crossing the wooden bridge over the overflow of the bottom dam, turn right.
After cycling along side the top dam, look out for a junction to your left to take you back to Red (same as for Yellow long).

Detailed Description
Bottelary Yellow from Red (Top Down) is a 4 mile moderately popular easy route located near Stellenbosch. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a easy overall physical rating. This route includes 6 trails. This route climbs 329 ft with a max elevation of 651 ft then descends -341 ft.
