Sign says going off the trail isn’t allowed due to the wildlife closure, but traveling on the trail is permitted. AlbertaParks.ca states the trail is open.

This is a hiking trail. The climb is very much a hiking trail, so too is the descent. Just for anyone expecting an actual blue bike trail…

This should be labelled as hiking primary on trailforks

A hidden gem Full of surprises. Very technically and physically demanding in many spots. Some hike and bike. Definitely an adventure off the beaten path. I love a good challenge, and I enjoyed this experience.

Perfect conditions. One tree down. Lots of loose rock. Only saw 2 bikers coming down while the family hiked it. Not worth doing as a standalone hike.

If you climb to descend this would not be the trail for you. If you look at your Strava and see how much elevation you have gained this is a trail for you. From west to east the first climb starts easy and becomes pretty brutal. If you do not have good fitness you may have to push some sections. East to west there are two corners I need mote fitness to get. More interesting to the west. Well done trail builder I will be back.

Riding this as a climbing trail the trail name is very fitting. It's a lungbuster, the downs only lead to more ups. Atleast climbing it is doable there are no roots to hop over. I still would ride it again as a climb trail.

Rideable but where the f*ck is the fun at? I mean SUPER jarring...not a single view. On my third time taking this run I decided I never want to be on it again. Stupid f*cking trail. EKG more north and below the beginning of odyssey may be the only sensible enjoyable part?

The fact that this app says you SHOULD enter from the north is just f*cked. It COULD be enjoyable from the south to north but still...who the f*ck designs these trails man there's lots of declining hill and not a single f*cking trail utilizing it in the right direction?

Listen to me.
Long road to ruin should be entered from the south (autistic ferit or w.e the f*ck). The problem is it'll dump you in that f*cking corner where there isn't any fun way out and it's just f*cking pig work to get back. DO NOT ENTER THIS TRAIL FROM BLUE COAL CHUTES. Going north to south on this trail was the worst f*cking idea I've had yet.

Fun, flowy, well-built with some great views. Potential to get over-excited and pick up a bit too much speed for the height of some berms, but a few runs should take care of that. Do recommend!

Rideable for me (intermediate blue, mtb) but no fun. Maybe I just like more flow, but it felt like there was no reward for the unending jarring. I found there to be lots of crossings with other fast trails, so I couldn't get into groove. Lots of roots made for a dicey ride after a passing shower. I eventually gave up and took Meadowview (MV on the map, = greyed out access road) to Odyssey - way more scenic and fun.

Actually, the first 7Km or 8Km are physically easy, not even moderate.....but the final 2 or 3 Kms are basically "walk-a-bike", too steep, narrow, loose and dangerous to be ridden up, it is not possible to pedal up and still reach a minimum speed to keep the balance on two wheels.

Rode this last in 2017. Don’t be mislead; it’s fun as hell. You need to be ready to climb. A lot. You need to be an advanced rider. It’s double black for a reason. And when you’re done, you feel like you really rode something. Something unique. Once in a lifetime. Special. If you can ride this, you can ride anything in the Rockies.

Trail Bow Corridor
I feel like I shouldn't ride down the stairs anymore. They're getting pretty dodgy, a bunch of loose steps, a couple rotted to the point where they're breaking. Seems like a bad situation waiting to happen. Too bad, they were fun.

Trail Razors Edge
First off, let me say I take my hat off to the folks who can ride this Trail with any sort of flow or continuity. I’ve seen the you tube videos so it can be done, but not by me! Razors Edge reminds me of the old school pirate trails that people used to carve out in some random patch of trees on the edge of town. The forested part of the trail is often straight up or down the fall line and you can already seen the significant erosion damage and environmental impact. It’s like short sections of trail taking the shortest line possible line between every rock outcropping that could be found without any thought of using the contour of the land . When you get on the exposed ridge line there is no evidence of “trail building” at all, just braided tracks across the loose rock. This trail will need a complete overhaul if we ever hope to have it sanctioned and properly maintained. Yes, it is very technical and there are some killer views but the fun factor was very low for me.

Pretty nice little trail to do at the end of montain cut off. It goes uphill again but you get an awesome view of town. The final bit down is steep! You can either go down the huge loose run or go left down the short way. Both steep but left is less daunting and shorter

Rode it from East to West.... probably better to ride it from west to east though(dead mans flats to heart creek). Some super fun parts but definitely a hiking trail before a biking trail. The most beautiful part of the trail has steep staircases and nearly impossible ledges that is not conducive to bike riding. I'm sure danny macaskill could do it but not exactly my idea of an enjoyable bike ride - something to keep in mind. I would say about 4km of the trail is good. rest is so-so at best.

It was fun. For the 3rd ride of the year I went on this and with the lack of cardio it was tricky but still doable. Some fun features 1/2 way in. And some technical climbers that are steep in a few sections but good. Rooty and loose ground in some corners, with two small creeks you pass through. Took about 2.5-3 hours ? Enjoy!

What a weird little connecting trail. Short but a few different paths and ways to ride it. I tried to figure out the "correct" way but given the name, my guess is the is no"correct" way. Just ride your bike and have fun! It's mostly just a connector, though - not something I'd purposely seek out.

EKG seems to be the primary blue trail for accessing many others. It's has enough up hill downhill sections to keep it interesting but not so steep as to leave you worn out. A nice consistant moderate level of difficulty with many different terrain types and views. Mostly side hill cruising.
