This route is just a bit over 8 miles long and provides a nice ride for a scout to accomplish one of his 8 miler rides. It starts off in a school parking lot and gets the riders warmed up on an easy dirt road. This will give the scouts a chance to make sure bikes are properly working, and scout leaders can even drive up this road as it is fairly smooth and graded all the way up to the rock pile. This route is mostly easy to intermediate. The final downhill section has some small drops only a few inches high, which is fun for the more advanced rides but they can easily be rolled down. The route travels around a dirt road loop for easy access if there are any mechanical issues or falls.

This is a fun loop with some flowing downhill and some small technical areas, but nothing too difficult. It is also where the High School Race Course is so, it is a great place to see if scouts want to take their mountain biking on into High School Racing.

Boy Scout Merit Badge 8 Mile (UC) is a 8 mile popular intermediate route located near Eagle Mountain Utah. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 6 trails. This route climbs 831 ft with a max elevation of 5,461 ft then descends -815 ft.
